Fee Structure: Executive Search


Fee Schedule
Since 1988, Kensington International has been sharing in the risks associated with retaining an executive search firm. Our standard fee is 33% of the successful candidate's first year anticipated total cash compensation; the terms of payment are unique.

Performance-based Fees Two-thirds of our fee is attached to specific milestones. These performance-based fees link our pay to our performance. Fees are structured as follows: 1/3 of the fee on initiation of each search

  • 1/3 of the fee upon delivery of the interim research package (45 days)
  • Balance upon completion of each search

      Expenses Kensington International has chosen not to flat fee its expenses – rather, we line item all expenses for your review. Expenses are billed monthly and include all telephone, travel, postage, research and other miscellaneous costs directly associated with the recruiting assignment.

      Expenses with some firms can be as large as 18% of the anticipated fee. Kensington International averages between 5% and 7% of the fee per position.
